Have a bot watch your kids' team apps and tell you only when plans change
Every team seems to have its own app, like TeamSnap, GameChanger or LeagueApps. A bot can check them all each morning, put practices and games in one place, and stay quiet unless a time changes, a game is added or something is cancelled.
What the bot does
- Every morning at a time you pick, it reads the team emails and checks each team app or site you've signed it in to.
- It pulls out practices, games, meets and cancellations for each child.
- It compares them with what it saw yesterday and with your family calendar.
- If something changed, like practice moving from Thursday to Tuesday, it messages you with the change and any clash it causes.
- If nothing changed, it says nothing.
What you end up with
One quiet check-in that covers every team, so you stop opening four apps a day and still catch the practice that moved.
Copy-paste prompt
Fill in the [brackets]. Then paste it into any tool below.
Every morning at [7:00], check my kids' team schedules: [child 1] on [TeamSnap team name], [child 2] on [GameChanger team name], plus any emails from [coach or league addresses]. Compare everything with what you found yesterday and with my [family calendar]. Only message me if something changed: a new time, a new game or meet, a cancellation, or a clash with something already on the calendar. Say which child, what changed and what it clashes with. If nothing changed, don't message me. Don't RSVP, reply to coaches or change my calendar without asking.

Setup
- List every child, team and app (TeamSnap, GameChanger, LeagueApps, a club website) plus the email addresses team news comes from.
- Connect your email and calendar to your bot, and sign it in to each team app it needs to check. A password manager that lets your bot use approved logins keeps passwords out of the chat.
- Set a daily schedule, early enough to fix a clash before school runs start.
- Make "quiet unless something changed" the rule, and ask it to send one short note when a check fails, so silence never hides a problem.
- For the first two weeks, compare its notes with the apps yourself before you trust it.

Watch out
- If a team app logs the bot out or changes its layout, the check can quietly fail. Ask for a note whenever it couldn't read an app.
- Team apps hold kids' names, photos and locations. Connect only the teams you need, and don't let the bot post or reply in team chats.
- Agents can sound sure while using stale info: the same parent's agent once sent him to a restaurant using old opening hours. For anything time-critical, ask it to check the live app and say when it last looked.
What this costs to run
In a chat app it runs inside your plan. If you run it as a bot on an AI API, the bill depends on how often it runs and how much it reads.
Estimate it in the cost calculator →
Tip: Stop always-on bots burning tokens: run them less often. More in Run your bots for less and how much an AI agent costs.
