Give your bot a phone number so it can call and book for you
Plenty of places still only take bookings by phone. Once your bot has its own number, it can call a restaurant, a vet or a salon, book the slot and tell you what was said.
What the bot does
- Finds the business's number on its own.
- Asks what it needs: how flexible you are on time, the name to book under, a callback number.
- Reads the plan back and waits for your OK before it dials.
- Makes the call, says it's an AI calling for you, and books.
- Tells you what happened in plain English, quotes what the place said, and offers to add it to your calendar.
What you end up with
A booking made by phone, a plain summary of the call and a calendar entry, without you making the call.
Copy-paste prompt
Fill in the [brackets]. Then paste it into any tool below.
Call [restaurant / vet / salon] and book [what] for [number of people / pet's name] on [day] around [time]. I'm flexible between [earliest] and [latest]. Book under [name], callback number [number]. Before you dial, read the plan back to me and wait for my OK. Say you're an AI assistant calling for me. Don't give any card or deposit details and don't leave a voicemail. Afterwards, tell me exactly what they said and add it to my calendar.

Watch out
- The bot needs its own phone number first, through a calling add-on you connect. Check that service's limits and terms.
- A phone call is harder to undo than an email. One user who had his bot book a vet appointment says exactly that.
- Have it say it's an AI right away. The author of the restaurant bot built in rules: no card details, no voicemails unless asked, one call at a time, never calling on its own.
