Have your bot make a customer-service phone call for you
Some jobs still need a phone call, like cancelling a service or sorting out an account. With a phone-calling add-on, your bot can make the call, sit on hold and report back.
What the bot does
- Gets a phone number of its own through a calling add-on you connect.
- Looks up the company's customer-service line and the account details it will need.
- Calls, says up front that it's an AI assistant calling for you, and asks for exactly what you said (in the shared example, cancelling a streaming service).
- Sticks to your rules: it turns down offers and agrees to nothing you didn't approve.
- Tells you what was said and saves any confirmation number.
What you end up with
The call handled (for example, a service cancelled), a plain summary of what was said and any confirmation number, without you sitting on hold.
Copy-paste prompt
Fill in the [brackets]. Then paste it into any tool below.
Call [company] at their customer service line and cancel my [subscription name]. My account details: [name on account, email, last 4 of card if needed]. Start the call by saying you're an AI assistant calling on my behalf. Turn down any offers unless it's [what you'd accept], and don't agree to anything else. Afterwards, tell me what they said and give me the confirmation number.

Watch out
- Some companies won't act for anyone but the account holder. One user says an airline refused to rebook his flight for exactly that reason.
- Have the bot announce it's an AI. One user says a restaurant owner almost hung up on his bot, thinking it was spam, until it identified itself.
- A phone call is harder to undo than an email, so be specific about what the bot may agree to.
- Check afterwards that the change really happened (for example, the next charge doesn't appear).
